About Outward
Outward is a Mac app that keeps everything about one project in a single window: its terminals, the services it runs on, the files you collect, and your notes.
We built it for ourselves. We were running a dozen terminals across a dozen windows, keeping the architecture in our heads, saving screenshots to Downloads, and writing notes in an app that had nothing to do with the code. Every time we came back to a project, we spent the first ten minutes finding things.
Outward fixes that. Terminals keep running after you quit the app, so your processes and scrollback are still there when you open it again. The stack is a diagram you can actually keep up to date. Files go on a canvas instead of in folders. Notes live next to the project they are about. Each project gets its own window and its own canvases.
Outward is new, and we are adding to it constantly. Most of what we build comes from what people ask for, so if something is missing or broken, email support@outward.dev.
Outward is made by Blurtec, a small team in New York. If you are building something developers use and want to work together, email contact@outward.dev.
